In October 2022, during the nationwide protests in Iran, a security officer shot me in the face from close range.
The shot destroyed my left eye on the spot.
There was no warning and no weapon in my hands.
It was a deliberate act against a protester.
This image is not a concept , it is simply what state violence did to my body.
